Understanding Hooke's Law: The Foundation of Elasticity| Chapter 5 Physics 9th

HOOKE'S LAW   Introduction In physics, Hooke's Law is one of the fundamental principles governing how objects deform under external forces . Named after the 17th-century British physicist Robert Hooke, this law provides a crucial understanding of the behavior of elastic materials, such as springs and rubber bands. Whether stretching a rubber band or compressing a spring, Hooke's Law helps explain what happens when forces act on these materials. What is Hooke's Law: Hooke's Law states that the force F needed to extend or compress a spring by some distance x is proportional to that distance. Mathematically, it is expressed as: F= -kx Here k represents the spring constant, which is the measure of the stiffness of the spring, and x is the displacement from the displacement position.  The negative sign indicates that the force exerted by the spring is in the opposite direction of the displacement.  Understanding the Spring Constant: The spring constant k is a critical co...

If he knows how to mend a puncture and possess the puncture kit, the scene will be different. The puncture kit contains a wrench, a piece of old cycle tube, a pair of small scissors, sand paper and colored pencil and a sticking solution.

To find out the location of punctured part, take water in deep pot of water and dip the tube into the pot of water bit by bit. A bubble will be seen coming out of the hole with a hissing sound. Mark the spot with colored pencil. Test the tube whole this way.Following steps should be taken while mending a puncture:

  • Ø  Deflate the tube and let it dry.
  • Ø  Rub the tube by sand paper at the marked are till it gets rough.
  • Ø  Cut the piece from old tyre according to its size.
  • Ø  Also rub the surface of this pipe and make it rough.
  • Ø  Take out the sticking solution and apply at both the rough areas of the tube as well as to the piece of rubber.
  • Ø  Place the piece of old rubber on the punctured area and press it tight.
  • Ø  It sticks and the punctured area has been mended in this way.
  • Ø  Check for more punctured part and repeat the process again.

MENDING A PUNCTURE AT THE SHOP

The process of mending a puncture at the tire shop is different one.

ü  A kind of semi-solid rubber solution is applied at the shop to the punctured part of the tube.

ECAT/MDCAT English Reading Comprehension-II For NED,Mehran UET, GIKI, PIAS, NUST universities of Pakistan

READING COMPREHENSION-II TEST 02 PASSAGE 01:               A team of researchers has found that immunizing patients with bee venom rather than the crushed bodies of bees can better prevent serious and sometime fatal sting reaction in more than one million Americans who are hypersensitive to bee stings. The crushed body treatment has been standard for fifty year, but a report released recently is said that it was ineffective. The serum made from crashed bodies of bees produced more adverse reaction than the injection of venom did.     The research compared the results of crushed body treatment with the results of immunotherapy, that uses insect venom and also compared with the results of placebo. After six or ten months of immunization, allergic reactions to stings occur in seven of twelve patients treated with the placebo, seven of ten with crushed body  extract and one of the eighteen treated with the venom. 1. Difference between Translatory, Rotatory and Vibratory Motion And Some basic Concept that define Motion

Difference Between Translatory, Rotatory and Vibratory Motion Some Basic Concepts that Define Motion Distance:    The total length covered by a body without mentioning the direction, is called Distance. Its unit is Meter. It is Scalar Quantity. Displacement: The distance measured in a particular direction is said to be Displacement. Its Unit is Meter. It is a vector quantity. Speed: Speed of an object determines how fast the object is moving. The rate of change of the position of an object is called Speed. It is a Scalar quantity. Its Unit is meters/seconds. It can be calculated as: If the body covers equal distance in equal interval of time its speed is said to be Uniform Speed. If a body doesn't cover equal distance in equal interval of time, then its speed is said to be Variable Speed. Velocity: Velocity means the speed of an object in an specified direction. It is the rate of change of displacement with respect to time. It is a vector quantity. Its unit is meters/sec...
