Understanding Hooke's Law: The Foundation of Elasticity| Chapter 5 Physics 9th

HOOKE'S LAW   Introduction In physics, Hooke's Law is one of the fundamental principles governing how objects deform under external forces . Named after the 17th-century British physicist Robert Hooke, this law provides a crucial understanding of the behavior of elastic materials, such as springs and rubber bands. Whether stretching a rubber band or compressing a spring, Hooke's Law helps explain what happens when forces act on these materials. What is Hooke's Law: Hooke's Law states that the force F needed to extend or compress a spring by some distance x is proportional to that distance. Mathematically, it is expressed as: F= -kx Here k represents the spring constant, which is the measure of the stiffness of the spring, and x is the displacement from the displacement position.  The negative sign indicates that the force exerted by the spring is in the opposite direction of the displacement.  Understanding the Spring Constant: The spring constant k is a critical co...

HELEN KELLER

SUMMARY:

Helen Keller was born in a small town in the United States of America. Till the age of two, she was able to see and hear everything normally but February 1882, proved to be a tough month for her as well as for her parents because she fell seriously ill and became blind and deaf. However, Miss Helen soon saw some light in her dark world when Miss Sullivan was appointed as her mentor. Miss Sullivan had experienced a phase of blindness herself in her childhood but she got her eyesight back. She took Helen Keller as a challenge and started teaching her spellings, counting and doing sum. She also taught Helen about history & geography, After some time, Helen Keller forgot to speak but again Miss Sullivan helped her to speak. She put Helen's hand on her own lips and made her feel the movement of the lips while speaking. With such continuous efforts, Helen got her ability to speak again. Helen Keller was then, taught to read the special books for blinds having raised points instead of printed letters and could be learnt by touching the letters with the fingers. This method is called "Braille system" and it helped Helen a lot to learn. She passed her school and went to college and afterwards, completed her graduation from Harvard University. In 1956, this wonderful lady visited Pakistan.

She was seventy-six but she was still full of passion. While addressing to the students and workers of the Unit 7: Life School of Blind, Deaf and Dumb, she admired them and advised them not to curse their fate. She told them there is nothing impossible in this world. Helen Keller died on 1st of June 1968, but her name will remain alive, as she was a wonderful Lady.

The crushed body treatment has been standard for fifty year, but a report released recently is said that it was ineffective. The serum made from crashed bodies of bees produced more adverse reaction than the injection of venom did.     The research compared the results of crushed body treatment with the results of immunotherapy, that uses insect venom and also compared with the results of placebo. After six or ten months of immunization, allergic reactions to stings occur in seven of twelve patients treated with the placebo, seven of ten with crushed body  extract and one of the eighteen treated with the venom. 1. Difference between Translatory, Rotatory and Vibratory Motion And Some basic Concept that define Motion

Difference Between Translatory, Rotatory and Vibratory Motion Some Basic Concepts that Define Motion Distance:    The total length covered by a body without mentioning the direction, is called Distance. Its unit is Meter. It is Scalar Quantity. Displacement: The distance measured in a particular direction is said to be Displacement. Its Unit is Meter. It is a vector quantity. Speed: Speed of an object determines how fast the object is moving. The rate of change of the position of an object is called Speed. It is a Scalar quantity. Its Unit is meters/seconds. It can be calculated as: If the body covers equal distance in equal interval of time its speed is said to be Uniform Speed. If a body doesn't cover equal distance in equal interval of time, then its speed is said to be Variable Speed. Velocity: Velocity means the speed of an object in an specified direction. It is the rate of change of displacement with respect to time. It is a vector quantity. Its unit is meters/sec...
